General Questions
Q: Who can configure Reqase Lite?
A: Only Jira administrators can configure Global Settings. Project administrators can configure Project Settings for their specific projects.
Q: What formats are supported for test cases?
A: Reqase Lite supports multiple test case formats:
- BDD (Cucumber / Gherkin) – Given/When/Then format for behavior-driven testing
- Manual Test Cases – Traditional steps with expected results
- Generic Format – Flexible format for various testing needs
Q: Which test management tools are supported?
A: Currently Reqase Lite integrates with:
- Xray Test Management
- Zephyr Scale
- Zephyr Squad
Support for additional tools will be added in future releases. Please contact us if you would like a different test management tool integrated.
Q: Can I use multiple AI providers?
A: Yes, you can connect multiple AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic). Go to App Settings to configure API Key Management and switch between providers as needed.

Q: Can I customize which Jira fields are used for test generation?
A: Yes, in Project Settings you can configure Requirement Custom Fields to specify which Jira fields (Description, Acceptance Criteria, custom fields, etc.) should be used by the AI when generating test cases.
Q: Can I edit test cases before saving them?
A: After generation, you can review and edit all test cases before saving them to your test management system. This ensures quality and allows you to refine the AI-generated content.
Q: What languages are supported for test case generation?
A: Reqase Lite supports test case generation in 10 languages:
- English
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Portuguese
- Dutch
- Polish
- Japanese
- Korean
- Chinese
You can set the default language in Project Settings.
Q: Can I provide additional context to improve test generation?
A: Yes! When generating test cases, you can add extra context or instructions in the Additional Context field. This helps the AI understand specific requirements, edge cases, or testing approaches you want to focus on.
Pricing & Licensing
Q: Do I need my own AI API key?
A: Reqase Lite offers flexible options. You can either use our built-in unlimited AI generation (included in your subscription) or connect your own AI provider API key if you prefer to use your own account.
Q: Is there a limit to how many test cases I can generate?
A: When using Reqase Lite's built-in AI, there are no limits on test case generation. If you're using your own AI provider API key, limits depend on your AI provider's plan and usage quotas.
