Xray Integration Setup
Connect Reqase Lite to your Xray instance to enable AI-powered test case generation.
Step 1: Obtain Xray API Credentials
Before you can use Reqase Lite, you need to generate API credentials from your Xray account:
In Jira Admin Settings, go to Apps → Xray → API Keys.
Generate a new Client ID and Client Secret (use username " Reqase Lite - AI Test Generator for Xray")
Copy both values (you'll need them in the next step)
💡 Tip: Click the "Get your Xray API Keys here" link in the settings for direct access to the Xray API Keys page.
Step 2: Configure Xray in Reqase Lite
Once you have your API credentials, configure them in Reqase Lite:
Go to Settings → Xray API Integration
Enter your Xray Client ID
Enter your Xray Client Secret
- Click the eye icon to show/hide the secret
- The secret will be masked with dots after saving for security
Click Test Connection to verify your credentials
Once the test succeeds, click Save to store your configuration

Troubleshooting Connection Issues
Connection Test Failed
If your connection test fails, check the following:
- Verify that your Client ID and Client Secret are correct
- Ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the credentials
- Check that your Xray API keys haven't expired
- Confirm you have the necessary permissions in Xray
Next Steps
Now that your Xray integration is configured, you can optionally set up a custom AI provider or start generating test cases.
